History
Arabian HALA Co. Ltd. Established in 1977 is a diversified, market-oriented company that combines the essential elements of management, marketing and knowledge of the domestic Saudi Arabian market. Its core business was renting and leasing cars as well as providing chauffeur driven cars, and it was awarded the exclusive agent for Avis International in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1993, and grew from 27 vehicles in 1977 to over 9,000 vehicles today.
Hala was established in 1993. At the time it was the first overnight courier service in Saudi Arabia, delivering to 27 cities. After the growth of Hala express and increasing transport services customers started requesting storage offerings nationally. Logistics sector growth was starting to become a reality with Supply Chain as a value offering becoming top of mind within businesses. And that was the inception of Hala Supply chain services in 2003.

Hala was established in 1993. At the time it was the first over night courier service in Saudi Arabia, delivering to 27 cities. 2002 - 2005
Entry into the 2000's saw the company pursue partner- ships/investments to push on with its service expansion into transport and ware- housing. -In 2005 Basamh Group of companies bought into the company on a long-term basis, which is the current shareholder structure. The company remains a 100% Saudi owned Entity
2006-2012
Hala continues to grow its service offering, diversifying into logistics projects. SAPO contract becomes a driver of new product growth. Warehousing starts to become a valuable reve- nue growth driver, while transport continues its positive contribution
2013-2021
The company ventures into owning its own warehouse facilities. Manpower projects continue the contribution of project style service offerings. Transport pricings sees pressure on margins and a loss of market share in this sector. Growth in Record Solutions sees the rise of good margin business.
2022
Haia CEO leaves after 13 years and the Hala board shapes a new future Husam Al Saleh is appointed CEO and a new MD joins Hala in December 2021. -A new corporate strategy is penned, and the company consolidates on a focused logistics model-transport and logistics become the core of the business. -A new 5-year vision is em- barked on with focus on aggressive growth into specialised markets.
